Tendering

From client request to tender

The preparation of tenders involves departments such as the rock department and engineering department as well as the tender department. Our clients are placing ever-higher demands on our tenders in terms of quality and content. In order to be able to meet these demands special tender teams are formed to deal with the large, complex and often multidisciplinary projects. These teams, headed by a tender manager and composed according to need from the four departments of the Boskalis operations office, are in charge of calculating the cost price, planning, the risk and opportunity assessment, design, working methods and tender document. If necessary the team is supported by specialists from other departments, such as SHE-Q, legal, fleet management and HR.

After the tender has been submitted it goes without saying that the tender team maintains close contact with the client as to how the tender process is progressing. Naturally they follow up on any questions and play a crucial part in building a strong client relationship. Once a contract has been awarded to Boskalis all the information is handed over to the colleagues who are responsible for the execution. But that is not the end of the story for the tender team because if there are any questions during execution the tender team will be consulted.

The tenders you will be working on at Boskalis often concern high-profile projects that make an impact. A contribution during the tender stage means a contribution to the success of Boskalis. Will you take on the challenge of realizing high-quality innovative tenders?
