Internship at Boskalis

In our knowledge intensive industry, talented employees are crucial. We provide safe working conditions, good personal development, and career opportunities. The internships we facilitate are a mean for students to get to know our business and kick-start their career. Internships are directl​y linked to the core business of Boskalis. Consequentially, most internships at Boskalis are of a technical, nautical and finance & control nature. We have both practical- and graduate internships available.

Study tracks we frequently facilitate practical internships for:

Do you follow a different study track? Occasionally internships take place in a corporate support or central business support department, for example related to IT, Sales or Procurement & Logistics.


Internship within the Netherlands

Plenty of internships are available in implementation and work preparation at Boskalis Nederland. For various project sites we are looking for civil engineering students at intermediate or higher vocational education level in the disciplines roads, concrete, construction and hydraulic engineering. Think for example of projects like the motorway expansion between Schiphol airport, Amsterdam and Almere (SAAone) or the widening of the Wilhelmina Channel in Tilburg. The great thing about these internships is that you can be involved in multidisciplinary projects, many of them based on modern contract types. An internship with Boskalis Nederland is the perfect opportunity to familiarize yourself with the various aspects of your future profession.

Internship Abroad

If you are up for the adventure, you can take your internship abroad. Especially for Civil Engineering, Finance & Control, and Ocean Technology students we have opportunities on project sites allover the globe on a regular basis. We will provide you with all the information you need and take care of necessities like the journey to and from the project site, accommodation, (reimbursement of) meals and required vaccinations.

Crewing internships

With a versatile fleet it comes as no surprise that Boskalis also offers crewing internships to students that follow a maritime officer’s (Marof) course. The context of the internship strongly depends on the type of vessel you are assigned to. Most likely it will be one of the vessels in our dredging fleet, for example trailing suction hopper dredger Queen of the Netherlands.
