Make your mark as Senior Project Manager and grasp the unique opportunity of heading up complex, multidisciplinary projects within the Offshore Heavy Lifting business unit of Boskalis Offshore Energy.
In the role of Senior Project Manager you will have ultimate responsibility for the realization of projects of varying size and complexity. You will do so in accordance with the contract in a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly and efficient way, on time and within budget. You will manage the team members involved in the project as well as managing the relationship with the client and other external stakeholders. You will have a major influence in the preparation and execution of projects ranging in value and varying in scope from installation projects to complete EPIC contracts.
Your responsibilities will furthermore consist of
- Managing, coaching and appraising the performance of your project team;
- Managing the project on SHE-Q, in compliance with applicable (local) laws, rules and regulations;
- Managing the project on schedule, budget and risks in order to achieve an optimum profit margin;
- Managing problem analyses, generating creative solutions for high-level project plans and translating project plans into operational plans;
- Optimizing upstream and downstream relations and creating commercial opportunities;
- Preparing progress and project close-out reports for the company and the client;
- Developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and processes both within and between departments;
- Contributing to the tender process for specific aspects of project management.
Your qualities and experience
In the role of Senior Project Manager you will be able to rely on your experience to bring project management challenges to a successful conclusion under all kinds of circumstances. You understand the dynamics of the contracting world and therefore find it easy to switch between the client, business unit management(s), the crew of a vessel, external stakeholders and the colleagues at head office.
You can move ahead as Senior Project Manager if you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably civil engineering, maritime engineering or mechanical engineering;
- At least seven years of relevant work experience in multidisciplinary project management in the offshore, maritime or oil and gas industry;
- Demonstrable experience in multidisciplinary contracting projects;
- A perfect command of written and spoken English;
- No problem spending regular time working abroad.

- Your team: The project management team exists of 10 colleagues. You report to the Projects and Operations Director Offshore Heavy Lifting.
- Where you will work: You will be working at the Boskalis Campus in Papendrecht or abroad on project basis.
- Full/part-time job: The position of Senior Project Manager is a full-time (40 hours a week)
