Make your mark as Project Controller at Boskalis! Our business units are working as main contractors, for large Tier 1 windfarm developers, with contracts from EUR 30 mln to over EUR 200 mln. In the role of Project Controller you will provide critical management information on costs, the contract and financial aspects of the assigned project to Project Management. This position serves as the financial conscience of the responsible Project Manager. We have recently established new US Renewables Office in Providence, Rhode Island from which we support our projects in the North East of the United States. The team has been growing over the past year and will be a perfect environment for an eager candidate to use their creativity and problem solving skills within a new industry setting in the US.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring the progress of the current complex projects;
- Discuss progress and project forecasts with Project Manager(s) and other internal stakeholders;
- Preparing and submitting periodic financial and budget control reports;
- Monitoring deadlines and contractual obligations;
- Indicating and reporting financial risks;
- Financially managing the supply chain;
- Making a contribution to the continuous improvement of the project control organization;
- Provide support during the annual (financial) audits;
- Coaching and guiding project teams on financial matters and increasing cost awareness.
Your qualities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy or similar;
- 4 – 7 years experience as a Project Controller in an contracting environment; Maritime/Offshore/Construction industry preferred;
- Experience with projects that have significant procurement scopes;
- Understanding the contractual dynamics of construction projects;
- Have experience with currency risks and hedging;
- Team player with empathetic capacity towards both financial and operational colleagues;
- Flexible, analytically strong, goal oriented;

- Your team: In the role of Project Controller, you will report to the Finance and Control Manager and Project Director;
- Where you will work: This position will report to the Providence office. Hybrid options may be considered but physical presence is crucial to the success of our projects;
