Employment

At Boskalis you are constantly challenged to get the best out of both yourself and your colleagues. It goes without saying that we provide good employment conditions in return. We offer you an excellent salary and an attractive package of secondary employment conditions. You will of course be provided with further information on this during the selection procedure.

Days off and ATV days (working hours reduction days)

In the Netherlands, you’re entitled to 26 days of annual leave and a number of collective scheduled days off. If you are working in an office position for example, this means you always get the days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve off.

Travel allowance

You receive a travel allowance for your daily commute. There are plenty of charging stations at our campus as we encourage electric driving. Do you prefer to travel by public transport? We cover all public transport expenses. And what do you think about our bicycle plan? You can exchange a part of your salary for a net compensation to buy a decent bike.

Pension

You start building up pension rights as soon as you start working at Boskalis. Our pension scheme is very attractive, as it’s virtually non-contributory. 

Referral bonus

When you introduce us to a new colleague, you’ll receive a nice bonus if the person in question joins our company.

Collective schemes

As a Boskalis employee, you can participate in a number of attractive collective schemes, including collective health insurance, accident insurance and incapacity for work insurance. When you choose to join our collective health insurance, you’ll receive a monthly gross contribution from Boskalis. You can use this to pay your deductible, for example.

Foreign posting terms

When assigned to a foreign posting, you can count on excellent terms while working abroad. You’ll hear more about these during the selection procedure if these are relevant for your position.

We encourage a healthy balance between work and private life by offering you the possibilities and digital devices for flexible working. You can decide when to work from home or from the office, in agreement with your manager. 

Campus

You’ll be taken good care of on our campus in Papendrecht. Besides the typical Dutch kroket (a favorite for many of us), our cafeteria also offers a broad range of healthy food options, like salads, poke bowls, falafel wraps and soups. Meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan: there’s something for everyone.

Informal get-togethers

To build a steady team, our Boskalis colleagues meet up regularly to get to know each other besides work. Think about Friday afternoon drinks, but also sports activities (like the RopaRun) and bringing your family to the Boskalis beach clean-up tour.

Young Boskalis

Are you under 36? Come and join Young Boskalis! Have fun and join in social and sports activities ranging from pub quizzes to yoga, bootcamps and an annual sailing boat race. Networking and knowledge sharing are a vital part of Young Boskalis as well.
