As Workday consultant working from our Abu Dhabi you can make a difference by further developing, optimizing, and enhancing the user-friendliness of Workday within Boskalis. Together with our team of four, soon to be five, consultant colleagues, in Abu Dhabi and the Netherlands, you will be responsible for the continued development of Workday, focusing on optimizing existing processes and implementing new ones. You have the ability to translate organizational needs into customer-focused, innovative solutions within Workday. Configuring Workday HCM is second nature to you.
You will support the (HR) organization and the business by using analysis, knowledge, and creativity to transform HR-related challenges into actionable insights. Enhancing data maturity within Boskalis and our HR department serves as the foundation for this effort, and you will guide the (HR) organization in transitioning toward more efficient use of Workday and a more data-driven approach.
What you will do as a Workday consultant
- Expert in Workday modules (HCM, Onboarding, Time Tracking, Absence, Performance Management) and shape its further development and roadmap.
- Support the HR Leadership Team in HR solution decisions and contribute to building a professional HR Shared Service Center (SSC) team.
- Enhance data impact and optimize Workday usage by engaging a broader (international) user group, ensuring data quality through analyses and reports.
- Act as a sparring partner for HR teams, collaborating cross-functionally with HR divisions, IT, and Finance.
- Lead Workday implementation projects and optimize/build integrations for various Boskalis entities worldwide.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as a Workday consultant if you bring:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a data analyst, Workday specialist, business intelligence consultant, or similar roles.
- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in IT, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, or a technical field.
- Thorough knowledge of Workday HCM, Onboarding, Time Tracking, Absence, and Performance Management, with the ability to translate business value into Workday functionalities.
- Strong analytical skills, pragmatic, collaborative, results-driven, independent, and well-developed data skills, with excellent presentation skills in English.
- Self-starter comfortable in a dynamic, complex, international environment, results-oriented with a structured approach, and willingness to travel internationally.

- Your team: Within Group HR of Boskalis, the HR Shared Services department is responsible for the global rollout of Workday. You will be working in a young team and you will be responsible for the Workday application together with 2 colleagues. You will be located in our Abu Dhabi office together with other two while the rest of your colleagues will work from the Netherlands.
- Where do you come to work: You work from our office in Abu Dhabi.
- Full-time: The position of Workday consultant is full-time (40/48 hours per week).
