WICHER EN MELANIE MAKE THEIR MARK AT THE TENDER DEPARTMENT (DUTCH)
ShowTender at Boskalis
Our tender activities are the root of each successful project, all of our projects start with a tender phase. While colleagues in the tender department are mainly involved in budgeting and optimizing of projects during this stage, they also provide any support required during the work preparation and execution stages. Various departments of the Boskalis operations office are involved in this stage.
From client request to tender team
Departments such as the rock department, engineering department and tender department are all involved in our tender preparation. Our clients are placing high demands on our tenders in terms of quality and content. In order to meet these demands, special tender teams are formed to deal with the large, complex and often multidisciplinary projects. These teams are in charge of calculating the cost price, planning, risk and opportunity assessment, design, working methods and tender documentation. They are led by a tender manager and composed according to need from the four departments of the Boskalis operations office. If necessary, the team is supported by specialists from other departments such as SHE-Q, legal, fleet management or HR.
Close cooperation
After the tender has been submitted, the tender team keeps close contact with the client as to how the tender process is progressing. They follow up on any questions and play a crucial part in building a strong client relationship. Once a contract has been awarded to Boskalis, all the information is handed over to the colleagues who are responsible for execution. But that’s not the end of the story for the tender team, because they’ll be on stand-by to answer any questions during execution.
The tenders you will be working on at Boskalis often concern one-of-a-kind and high profile projects that make a real impact. Contributing to the tender stage, means contributing to the success of Boskalis. Will you take on the challenge of realizing high-quality innovative tenders?
