The safety of the people who work for and with us is always our top priority. The SHE-Q department plays a crucial role in creating an incident and accident-free workplace. In the role of SHE-Q Workforce Planner you will be responsible for your own pool of SHE-Q employees and see to it that the right SHE-Q employee is matched to the right vessel or shipyard.
This might sound easy but it is most certainly not. As a SHE-Q Workforce Planner you must have an unerring sense of what a project needs. This means that you have to be aware of what the project involves as well as of our NINA safety program – short for ‘No Injuries, No Accidents’ – and our Boskalis Way of Working approach to quality. As a SHE-Q Workforce Planner you are an important discussion partner and advisor. We expect you to be able to work independently and that you have excellent planning and organizational skills. You try to stay at least one step ahead of the business.
In addition to providing the vessels and shipyards with SHE-Q staff you will also be responsible for conducting performance reviews. This means that you not only need human knowledge but must also be prepared to travel because you will be required to visit international projects with some regularity to gather information about the performance of SHE-Q employees.
Furthermore you will also have responsibility for your own budget and at the outset the focus will be on streamlining processes, together with your line manager.
If you match the following profile then you are the person we are looking for to perform the role of SHE-Q Workforce planner.
- HBO (higher vocational education) working and thinking level
- Five to ten years’ general work experience. You do not need to have any specific experience. It is more important to us that you excel at planning and organizing, have a healthy dose of human knowledge, are able to conduct performance reviews, cope well with stress and have the independent ability to use your own budget to get the most out of the employees in your pool
- A good command of Dutch and English
- Willing to travel. You have no objection to visiting the projects in other countries on a fairly regular basis.

The job of SHE-Q Workforce planner is a full-time position (40 hours a week). You will be based in Papendrecht, but will also regularly travel abroad for relatively short periods.
