The Boskalis Traineeship lasts 1 year. In these 12 months, you will complete 2 different assignments. Before, between and after the assignments, there is plenty of room to work on your personal development, as you work with top internal and external coaches and mentors during a challenging development program. In order to be eligible to apply for the Boskalis Traineeship in September 2025: You need to graduate before the starting date of your Traineeship; In general, trainees have up to two years of working experience; For a complete overview of criteria, please check our Traineeship page.
If you are going to be starting with us as a trainee, we will gladly look at the possibilities for bridging any intervening period.
You have two choices: you can opt for a career in the Netherlands or you can embark on an international career. If you choose for an international career, you have to be willing to travel. You will spend one or two five-month periods abroad and will work in the Netherlands for the remaining time. The traineeship program consists of two six-month periods, including assignments and learning blocks.
