Make your mark as Tender Engineer for the Business Unit Middle East. As a Tender Engineer you have the opportunity to make a major contribution. You support the Tender Manager, Desk Manager and Commercial Managers or work standalone (smaller projects), in developing and communicating the strategy for each Boskalis tender proposal. You perform the final check on quality and completeness of the proposal document to guarantee it meets both client’s and Boskalis’ standards. This means you have a direct impact on Boskalis Business!
In this role, your workplace will be our office in Abu Dhabi, from where you will provide support to our tender team.
Your responsibilities as a tender engineer
- Primarily focus on dredging and reclamation projects in the Middle East region, particularly countries such as the UAE, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
- Review tender documents and draft summaries to support the commercial team in developing the strategy, planning and proposal documentation, and identify information deficits.
- In close collaboration with the desk team in The Netherlands develop, coordinate and write the proposed work methods, and the overall bid deliverables together with supporting department.
- You will liaise with subcontractors and partners.
- You are responsible for the final check on the quality and completeness of the proposal documentation before submitting to the client.
- You will develop and maintain a good working relationship with our client counterpart, communicate any clarifications and submit the proposal in accordance with client requirements.
- Support bid submissions by means of proper document control.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as a tender engineer if you will have:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in tenders and/or with operations preferably in Dredging or Offshore Energy Market.
- Familiarity with key clients in the Dredging market such as:
- Land developers
- Port operators
- Oil&Gas operators - A finished Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a dredging industry background, supported by relevant courses and certifications
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- A teamplayer mentality with focus on clients needs, common goals and want to join the continuous learning cycle.
