Make your mark as Commercial Manager France at Boskalis!

Make your mark as Commercial Manager for our dredging activities in France. You will develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive new business opportunities and market growth. You will engage with our clients, agents and intermediaries and supervise the local team and activities of managing, planning and organizing the local business operations in accordance with the approved plans. You will be accountable for acquiring, negotiating, administering, developing, and executing contracts to enhance revenue and strengthen Boskalis' market presence in France. In other words you will have a broad scope of work, as you will develop business in close consultation with the Regional manager.

Your responsibilities as a Commercial Manager

  • You identify opportunities and setting a strategy and objectives for the relevant area in consultation with the Regional Manager South Europe (acting as local MD) and Business Unit Europe (and, where necessary, with the Joint Venture Partners).
  • You will be working pro - actively to develop and maintain close relationships with (potential) local partners & clients and stakeholders, knowing the local culture and business partners in the area.
  • You are responsible for business development, acquisition and follow up on projects in consultation with the Regional Manager. Serve as a front office for Boskalis products and being the local knowledge center.
  • You supervise and coordinate the local organization and staff, according to Boskalis Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a Commercial Manager if you have/are:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Maritime Technology (preferred).
  • At least five years proven experience as a Commercial, Business Development or Operational manager and relevant knowledge of the local market area and conditions.
  • Knowledge and experience in project tendering & execution, financial & contractual management.
  • A team player with strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ambition to further strengthen our presence in the area.
  • Living in Paris Area or willing to relocate to Paris.
  • A good command of written and spoken English and French.

  • Your team: You will work from the office in Paris. Your team consists of a Finance Controller and a secretary. You will report to the Regional Manager based in Rome.
  • Where you will work: Boskalis Office in Paris, Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
  • Fulltime/ part-time job: The position of Commercial Manager France is a fulltime job.
