What you will be doing
Over the course of 12 months, you will work on different assignments where you will assist Senior Engineers or Technical Superintendents, while taking responsibility for the tasks at hand and meeting your deadlines. You will be expected to increase your knowledge and skills through active engagement with your colleagues and managers in various stages of diverse projects. Together we will shape the direction your career could take, paying attention to the areas in which you want to develop your skills and knowledge within the scope of your assignments.
You will, together with your colleagues, supervise and manage project work, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery and you will be dealing with a range of vessels and other equipment from our dredging fleet.
Where you will work
In the Dredging track, you will contribute to the management of our dredging fleet, including cutters, hoppers, and support equipment.
You will be involved in:
- Maintenance and repairs of dredging vessels.
- Logistical and technical preparation of vessels and equipment.
- Coordinating technical activities during global projects.
- Hands‑on involvement in various project phases.
This track is ideal for you if you have a second vocational (MBO) or Associate Degree in mechanical-, marine-, or electrical engineering combined with several years of hands-on technical experience (maritime or non-maritime) and you are looking for a role that combines engineering, innovation, and international dredging projects.
- Fully completed a technical secondary vocational level or Associate degree.
- Entitled to work and already living in the Netherlands
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Willingness to work abroad.

What you will be learning during this development track
Next to learning on the job, we offer an extensive personalized development program. Specific training in your areas of expertise will be added to the development track (examples: fluid mechanics and pumping technology; and much more). External trainers and coaches and a Boskalis mentor are there to help you in your development. During this track you will build a strong (inter)national network in a short period of time.
